PERMANENT SPEED TRAP SET HERE. I have never driven through here without seeing one cop with someone pulled over, and another radaring people. I have never been pulled over here, so I don't have an axe to grind, but I'm betting 50% the town's budget comes from traffic citations (it's about collecting money, not safety). Slow down, don't pay the Castleberry Road Tax.
Very well known to be very corrupt and full time speed trap! Hillbilly police chief making 92k per yr in this one caution light town was just thrown out ,due to stealing peoples personal property without going thru proper procedures in the courts under the disguise of "drug activity"...yet not filing formal charges if they give police cash and their belongings.... multiple lawsuits finally being filed! If you value your personal property i would stay far far away from this town! They should find some way to provide this town w money without stealing from others! Judgement day comes for everyone!
This town, it's government, therefore, citizens are a den of immorality. Using the monies of out of town residents to fund a town through speed traps and other nonsensical fees should drive government officials and a shallow thinking police chief straight to prison. This kind of action and behavior of stealing from people committing misdemeanors is despicable. What goes around comes around. Crime from anyone doesn't pay. The citizens of this hell hole deserve what they're getting. They could have done something about it through moral thinking but it took outsiders to force them to the forefront of honesty and full disclosure. Good luck Castleberry. You're going to need it.
